one day, we hope that books in a box can help every family that needs it. we hope that it teaches families the skills they need to change the lives of their children. we hope that those children can go on to become readers. we hope that they are the generation that closes the achievement gap. we want to see every child's face light up when they find a box on their front porch, and subsequently when they see the books.

we hope that one day, it's not a difficult task to search for books that have characters who look like our children. that kids can feel seen, heard and inspired by the stories they read. we hope that every parent feels empowered when reading to their child, and understands what's going on at school and at home. with their families informed and behind them, and with the resources they need, we believe kids will become stronger readers and learners than we have ever seen before.
